Terms — Banner Brawl

Banner Brawl (bannerbrawl.com) is run by 21 Sierra. By buying the banner ("taking the belt") you agree to these terms.

What you're buying

You buy the single banner spot on the home page. The price is the highest price ever paid plus US$1, and it only climbs.
Your banner goes up as soon as Stripe confirms your payment, and stays up until someone else buys the spot. There is no guaranteed duration. Your reign could last a week or eleven seconds.
Your banner links to the URL you give us. Links are marked rel="sponsored", and every banner carries an "AD" label.
Every sale is listed in the public Fight Record, permanently, with your company name, link, category, price and stats. Your contact email is never shown publicly.

All sales are final. There are no refunds, except the automatic one below.
If two or more people pay at the same price at about the same time, all of the payments are accepted, in the order they're paid (a "photo finish"). Each payer gets their own reign at the price they paid.
If your checkout is stale by two or more sales (other people bought the spot twice while you were paying, so your price is now below the current champion's), your payment is refunded automatically.

We can remove any banner at any time, for any reason, without a refund. Removing a banner never lowers the price.
Prohibited content includes: adult content; hate speech or harassment; scams or phishing; malware; illegal goods or services; impersonation of any person or organisation; and gambling sites that aren't properly licensed.
We check every URL against Google Web Risk before checkout, and we may reject one for any reason.

You warrant that you own, or have permission to use, everything in your banner: images, text, logos and trademarks.
You give us permission to display your banner and company name on the site, in emails to subscribers and on social cards.

We pledge 50% of the net proceeds of every sale to a kids' sport and education charity, to fund sport and education for kids who miss out.
"Net proceeds" means the amount you paid minus the payment processing fees Stripe charges on that payment, as recorded by Stripe in our settlement currency.
Payments that are disputed (charged back) or refunded are excluded, because we don't keep that money. A banner removed by the referee for its content still counts.
Donations are sent monthly, and receipts are posted on the Giving page. The pledge is ours; it doesn't make any part of your purchase a donation by you.

Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe.
The site is provided as is. We aren't liable for any loss from the site being unavailable or from your banner's performance.
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you pay applies to your purchase.
